On the bandstand.

I fell in love with African music in Lagos, at Fela Kuti’s Kalakuta Republic. For twenty years I have played tenor saxophone with West African bands in New York, including DafinaRoots, alongside musicians such as Makane Kouyaté and Yacouba Sissoko.

About me.

Born in Milan, raised in Rome. Before the internet, I built one of Italy’s first electronic travel networks. Then a web agency in New York and Bucharest, sixteen years managing IT projects for New York State, and the New York Jazz Workshop, which I co-founded in 2008 and which runs on a platform I built. When I can, I sail Aeolus, a 27-foot boat I refitted and took to the Bahamas.
